2009 Carrier of the Year Competition Begins!
As the end of 2008 nears, you have an opportunity to recognize the outstanding carriers at your newspaper.
Everyone in the circulation business understands how important the carriers are to the success of the newspaper. But far too often the carriers are not given the appreciation they are due.
TCMA Member, you have an opportunity to nominate an outstanding member of your carrier force. You can nominate him or her for TCMA’s Carrier of the Year (COTY) Award! This prestigious award for carriers costs nothing more than a few minutes of your time. We have made it easy for you to complete an application online or submit a paper copy. If you have attended a COTY Dinner at the Conference you have witnessed how excited the carriers are when they are presented their award and a framed certificate from the Governor of the State of Texas. If you are the winning Zone Manager you will also win a trip to the conference with your registration fee paid for by TCMA.
The deadlines are as follow:
There are four categories of competition:
Each finalist wins $200.00 upon selection and the winning carrier in each category will come to San Antonio, Texas, in March 2009, to receive an additional $300.00 at the Carrier of the Year Dinner.
Be sure to watch the YouTube videos from 2007 and 2008. Links are provided on this page. Online applications can be retrieved by clicking on the links on the left side of this page. PDF copies of the application can also be found by clicking on the links on the right side of this page.
Nominate your carriers today! It only takes a few minutes and the time spent will bring dividends to you, your carrier and your newspaper.
